As part of SPAINDC, La Tasca restaurant and The Society of Spain are teaming up with Martha’s Table to provide warm and authentic Spanish cuisine (free of charge) to local area senior citizens who are unable to move around easily to attend this month’s events.

It’s our little way of bringing SPAINDC and a little bit of Spain to those who otherwise might not get to many of the events located throughout the area.

Martha’s Table’s mission is to help at-risk children, youth, families and individuals in our community improve their lives by providing educational programs, food, clothing, and enrichment opportunities. Volunteers are critical to the success of Martha’s Table. Volunteers range in age from elementary students to retirees. Schools, church groups, civic groups, business and law offices, employees from many businesses around the Washington DC metro area make up the corps of 4000 regular volunteers and the approximately 4000 additional individuals and groups that give occasional service.
